BDVS has motivated women to initiate to earn an additional income. They have held several meetings and training programs for the women to train them to work in such areas that are needed and will flourish in their own area.

Several women in several districts have showed their interest to work for the additional income. This additional income is not to replace the work that they are doing right now, but to add on in their income. The aim of this program is to utilize the extra time that is available to make extra money. This will also make the women confident and self-reliant.

For this around 412 women were trained to make detergent and phenol in Barh, Barbigha, Samastipur, Jha-Jha and Kharagpur with the aim to motivate them to start their additional income work. Also 20 women are willing to start their cosmetic selling work.
