Nutrition & RTE rally
Looking to the emerging need of intervening in the issues of inadequate nutrition given by the Anganwadi Centres, on 19thFebruary core community members Mata Samiti decided to take their rally to the CDPO (child development program officer) where near about 75 participants participated. BDVS have been tracking the Anganwadi going children along with pregnant and lactating mothers. The tracking findings were communicated to the core committee members and core committee decided to react on that. Core committee listed out specific concerns of the communities related to education and anganwadi centers and took a rally on 19/02/18 at the block level. At least 50 core committee members along with 25 others participated the rally. Core committee had prepared an application mentioning the concerns of the communities. The application related to the educational concerns, village development concerns and the concerns of anganwadi centers were submitted to BEO and CDPO. CDPO and BEO assured to work on the mentioned issues.
