On 14th October BDVS conducted State level maths competition for Ambedkar Prerna Kendra Children. Children came from Barh, Barbigha and Samastipur. There were 25 contestants who participated in the competition.
For the selection of these children BDVS had taken a maths competition at the APK centres .
There were two groups in the competition: Primary group which consisted of children from class 3 to class 5, and Middle group of class 6 to class 8. They had to solve sums like Additions and Subtractions.
In their own centres, they had to solve 64 sums. Children securing first and second position from each centre were selected for the regional level competition.
So, a good number of participants participated in the regional level competition.
Then children who secured first, second and third position in the regional level competitions were selected for the State level Competition. In total there were 160 participants participated in regional level maths competition.
And then finally 25 contestants were selected for State level maths competition. 138 sums were solved by the primary group and 133 sums by middle group. They solved these sums within seconds and minutes.
Child who ranked first, second and third were given prize and consolation prize were given to the participants.
