It was a three day affair celebrating children and their right to education. The children of Ambedkar Prerna Kendra took the initiative of conducting a Bal Mela among their group in their own villages. On the first day of Bal Mela the children took out Prabhat Pheri. For the Prabhat Pheri, they made placards on quality education. The morning rallies were conducted in their own tola (neighbourhood).

On the second day, the Ambedkar Kendra children participated in a quiz, conducted by their group leaders. Ambedkar Kendra children love to participate in quizzes, each child learns at least 15 general knowledge questions per month.

And on the last day, it was time for fun. Each Ambedkar Kendra had a party. Each Ambedkar Kendra member contributed towards their party. BDVS also encouraged them by giving each Ambedkar Kendra Rs. 300 towards their party expenses.

Through this Bal Mela, the children displayed the qualities of leadership, confidence and team work.
